Magic Mushroom Forest is a fully procedural environment built in Houdini FX 21, covering the complete CG pipeline from modeling through to final render. Mushroom caps were sculpted using curves and a Revolve SOP, with undergill folds driven by a Path Deform along the base curve. Stems were generated with SideFX Labs Tree, and the forest floor was built using Particle Fluid Surface for a natural tactile feel. A For Loop was used to construct 25 unique cap and stem variations, giving the scattered forest genuine visual variety.
Spore movement was simulated in a POP Network using wind forces and curve-guided motion, then cached to disk for stable rendering. All textures were built entirely within Houdini's COP network, keeping the project fully self-contained. The scene was lit with a Dome Light using Houdini's Sky Lit Garage HDRI and rendered with Karma inside Solaris.
